Check This Out: Kick-Ass

11 Nov

Below is the trailer for the upcoming unconventional, and sure to be controversial, superhero movie, Kick-Ass. Based off of the comic book of the same name, the film is about a geeky teenage boy, Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), who decides to take matters into his own hands and become a superhero, Kick-Ass. He soon discovers that he is not alone in his self-made heroism when he meets Hit-Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father Big-Daddy (Nicolas Cage). The film was independently financed by director Matthew Vaughn and friends because no studios would touch the project with a ten foot pole. The reason no one wanted it is due to the fact that it is graphically violent and vulgar with children in command of the violence and vulgarity. It has been called “ultra-violent,” “politically incorrect,” and “so very wrong,” and that excites us here at Lara and the Reel Boy.

I realize this isn’t a video, but myspace won’t let me embed it. Click the link below to watch the trailer.
