Don’t Miss These Netflix, Week 3

6 Nov

Something something election, something. Not that much going on this week is there?

You can check out the trailer to SyFy’s Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome right here. For those not in the know, it’s a Prequel to the wildly awesome Battlestar Galactica, and not a lame prequel like Caprica, but one that follows William Adama as a young pilot at the peak of the Cylon war. The first episode will preimer online this Friday at and if you want to get caught up, you can catch every episode of SyFy’s Battlestar Galactica reboot on Netflix. Watch or we can’t be friends.

2004’s The Punisher might be one of the most underrated comic books movies of the past 10 years. Thomas Jane is pretty much the only actor you should ever want to see in the black skull t-shirt. Don’t believe me? Check it out then! Oh one thing, today is its last day on Netflix so ignore all that election stuff and watch some sweet revenge.

Need something to ease the news about Disney purchasing all things Star Wars? I mean something else that isn’t the scotch you drank. Might I suggest the classic comedy Tommy Boy? Indeed I do suggest! Pretend Tommy Callahan is Disney and the automotive brake pad industry is Lucasarts. It works, trust me.

If you already watched The Punisher and thought to yourself, ‘Well that just wasn’t violent enough’. You are in luck! The modern day classic Battle Royale by Kinji Fukasku has made its way to Netflix recently. If you are not familiar with his film, or the book its based off of, just tell yourself its the Japanese movie The Hunger Games is based on. Just kidding, don’t be that person, no one likes that person. It does have school children fighting to the death though, so thats a plus.
