Poster Passion: Django

28 Nov

Quentin Tarantino’s films have been a rare bright spot in the modern film poster landscape.  Creative, interesting, and artistic, they are almost surprising when you see them in the hallway of a modern cinema.  This is perhaps just one more thing that he has borrowed from the films of the past, but it is a breath of fresh air all the same.

So, in honor of his upcoming Django Unchained, today we will be looking at the posters of the original Django, from way back in 1966.  Directed by Sergio Corbucci (the incredible spaghetti western director that no one remembers) and starring the always exciting Franco Nero, the original film was one of the most violent films made up to that point.  Fantastic posters for a fantastic film.  Enjoy.
